Description The PATON Multi-PRO 250 15-4 230V is intended for the following semi-automatic welding modes: MIG ARC TIG HF (High Frequency) The MultiPro series is equipped with a non-contact arc ignition module (oscillator) with a built-in gas supply valve. The advantage of the fully electronic control system means that this welder overcomes the disadvantages of traditional analogue control type welder control systems. Which are typically designed for one specific welding mode. With a completely electronic system, the welder has all the resources, and is capable of delivering the required output power, no matter which welding mode you decide to use. The “Multi-Professional” series is designed for industrial use, the source can be separated from the welding wire feeding mechanism for convenience as well as safety. The welder power source provides a nominal output welding current of 250 Amps, which is sufficient for work with: ARC welding rods (electrodes) from Ф1.6 mm up to easily fusible Ф6 mm. MIG wire from Ф0.6 mm to Ф1.2 mm. The welding power source comes out of the box with a default set of welding parameters which are satisfactory for most welding tasks. However for the more experienced welders and the more complex welding tasks the power source welding paramters can quickly be adjusted to the welders needs. For hazardous work conditions, a electronic device for lowering the idle voltage in MMA (ARC) mode is built into the unit, this safety feature can be turned on or off. A characteristic feature of the PATON® semi-automatic “Multi-Professional” series welders is the high-quality, sealed, metallic wire feeder mechanism. The wire feeder comes with a “EURO” type MIG torch plug in connector, which has become the standard MIG torch connector around the world. Allowing the user to change out MIG torch types quickly and easily. The welder also has a protection module built in, to portect against abnormal levels of supply voltage (overvoltage or voltage drops) as well as against voltage surges. Because of the unique design of the electrnic control system in this welder, as well as the increased frequency of the voltage being supplied to the transformer, the transformer in the welder can be made several times smaller. Therefore, the weight and overall dimensions of the welder are several times smaller than traditional type analogue or transformer type wleders. ADVANTAGES Controls Digital display. Features & Benefits: The high quality of the welds and also the safety of the Welder Inverter itself are ensured by the additional functionalities below: FAN STOP: Adaptive fan control, increases the lift of the fan and reduces the amount of dust in the device itself. The speed of the fan increases at the beginning of work and when the welding power source heats up, the fan speed decreases when the welder is cooled down. 4 Roller Wire Feeder: The PATON BPI 250 PRO 15-4 DC digital welding wire feeder is designed to ensure stable supply of welding wire to the MIG gun contact tip. The precison designed 4 roller drive mechanism provides increased control particularly for softer welding wires such as aluminium. The contact force between the roller and the wire can be distributed over a large number of drive rollers. Reducing the point loading force on the welding wire and preventing issues such as bird caging of the MIG wire in the wire feeder. PULSED WELDING FUNCTION: This function is designed to simplify the control of a welding process when welding is completed in different welding positions and orientations. This pulse functionality is also used for welding nonferrous metals. When this function is activated, the application of pulse welding current improves the mixing of molten metals in the weld area and causes forced action on the transfer of molten metal drops into the welding pool, therefore the stability of the weld formation and the stability of the welding process are improved. INDUCTANCE CONTROL FUNCTION: Inductance control allows optimiation of the arc characteristics, depending on the thickness of the part to be welded and the welding method being uses as well as the welding conditions. This functionality is necessary to change the slew rate of the current when the arc voltage changes. The thinner the element being welded the higher the inductance should be (soft arc – less fusion), for thicker weld pieces (hard arc – greater embedding). GASLESS WELDING FUNCTION – WELDING WITH SELF-CONSUMING WIRE All PATON MIG welding machines are adapted for welding with self-serve wire. Such welding, as opposed to the traditional MIG welding process, is carried out without shielding gas – however, it requires a special welding wire. The wire produces its own shielding, which helps to protect the welding arc. MULTIPRO SERIES – BUILT-IN IONIZER The MultiPro series welders have a built-in HF (Hig Frequency) IONIZER, which enables contactless arc ignition in TIG welding. This extension is a function of the TIG handle control button. The handle button control cable connects directly to this module. When the control button on the torch is pressed, the control signal is sent to the welding machine controller, which develops the function of the previous t1 gas flow for cleaning the weld area before welding and with a delay gives the signal to switch the welding machine on – thus enabling TIG welding with contactless arc ignition. SOLDERING – INDUCTANCE CONTROL Paton MIG/MAG welders of the Standard and PRO series can be used for brazing thanks to the buit in functionality to change the inductance in three stages. The inductance control enables the welder to optimize the characteristics of the arc depending on the thickness of the component to be welded. This function is necessary to change the speed of the current flow when changing the arc voltage. The thinner the element to be welded with MIG/MAG, the higher the inductance should be (soft arc – less fusion), for thicker elements the opposite (hard arc – more fusion). Main advantages of Paton MultiPRO 250 (15-4) MIG MMA TIG HF welder inverter European production Electronic thermal protection system that protects all heat generating parts from overheating Reliability thanks to IGBT technology Possibility to work with long extension cables as well as with a generator Pulsed current welding in all welding methods Improved arc glow stability Change mode function 2T, 4T, gas cleaning from the feeder function In addition to protection against mains voltage spikes and dips, the devices have a stabilization system for operation during longer phase-to-phase voltage fluctuations and enable proper operation for the voltage range from 320V to 440V Twice lower power requirements compared to traditional sources Optimum penetration and correct stitch shape regardless of welding position 3-year manufacturer’s warranty for consumers and companies The highest quality of workmanship confirmed by a 3-year DOOR-to-DOOR manufacturer’s warranty.
