Cu-Cr-Zr contact tube The alloy of Copper, Chromium, and Zirconium elements in this contact tube is suitable for higher temperature loads. Compared to Cu-e contact tubes, its electrical conductivity is slightly lower; however, this is usually not significant for most processes. CuCrZr contact tubes have a hardness of approximately 168 HV and can withstand temperatures up to 500ºC. This type of tube has been determined as the standard for medium to high welding ranges, as well as for high-capacity processes. This contact tube is mainly used for liquid-cooled welding as well as robotic welding.
